BMI is body mass divided by the square of the body height. The standard ranges are:
Normal: 18 to 25
Overweight: 25 to 30
Obese: Over 30
The total mass of fat divided by total body mass, multiplied by 100. Thanks Wikipedia.
Fat-free Body Weight
I found this on-line for fat free body weight from here.
“Lean body mass differs from fat-free mass. Since there is some essential fat in the marrow of your bones and internal organs, the lean body mass includes a small percentage of essential fat. However, with the two-component model of body composition, these sources of essential fat are estimated and subtracted from total body weight to obtain the fat-free mass.”
About the Battery
This scale uses 3 AAA batteries which are still working from January of 2019. After daily use they are still working as of June 22nd. There is also a model RENPHO offers that recharges.
